Tweak mattress composition
The Tweak is a unique hybrid mattress of 5 different comfort zones, up to 1000 pocket springs, and temperature-regulating foam.
It was previously known as the Nrem Mattress at Tweak Slumber or the Sleep Hubs Tweak Mattress. 🤓
The five layers in detail:
- Hypoallergenic fabric cover that's soft and breathable.
- 4 cm (1.5 inches) pressure-relieving & cooling comfort layer that wicks away moisture.
- 5 customisable comfort zones with 3 different densities of high-resilient polyurethane foam in super soft, medium, and firm densities that can be moved around & fully customised.
- Up to 1000 individually wrapped pocket springs that offer superior support and bounce.
- Resilient base foam that makes up the bottom and sides of the mattress.
Unique layer of customisable foam
The most unique feature of the Tweak mattress is the third layer of customisable foam.
This come in three different densities:
- Super soft
- Medium
- Firm
This layer is made of reflex foam, which is very comfortable and adapts well to the contours of your body. 🤗
It reacts faster than memory foam, making movements easier and avoids that "sinking" feeling that's so common with memory foam mattresses.
You can rearrange these foam inserts to suit your need and provide optimal support and comfort.
You can also set up the two sides of the mattress differently, so it will suit both you and your partner. 👩❤️👨
What does sleeping on the Tweak mattress feel like?
The Tweak mattress offers just the right amount of comfort and support.
Very comfortable mattress
The reactive foam is very supportive, responds well to movement, and adapts perfectly to the contours of your body.
It also bounces back more quickly than standard memory foam, making moving around on the mattress easier.
This is great for restless sleepers and couples. 💃
The Tweak mattress is also great for anyone who struggles with back or neck pain.
It helps relieve pressure adequately and offers you the right level of support to help your muscles relax as you drift off into sleep.
The mattress is particularly recommended for back and side sleepers.
A warm & cosy sleep
The Tweak mattress offers a slightly warmer sleep, which is great for anyone who easily feels cold at night.
While the breathable cover and the springs do help regulate the temperature and make it suitable for a wider range of people, it may still be too warm for heavy sweaters.
If you're a heavy sweater, we'd suggest you opt for a pure pocket spring mattress.
Low motion transfer is great for couples
The Tweak mattress is particularly well-suited to couples.
This is due to two reasons:
- The customisable foams ensure that you can design each half of the bed to suit each partner, thereby virtually eliminating arguments about preferred mattress firmness.
- It also has no to low motion transfer.
If your partner tosses and turns at night, you won't be able to feel the movement.
This makes sharing your bed with a partner all the more comfortable.
How to customise your Tweak mattress
The unique feature of the Tweak mattress is that it's fully customisable.
The third layer features different inserts in varying degrees of firmness, which you can adjust and move around as you wish. 🥳
Here are some steps to find your perfect configuration:
- Unzip the top cover and fold or roll it back to one end of the bed. If it’s easier, you can also simply remove the whole cover.
- Roll back the comfort layer to reveal the selection of foam inserts.
- Rearrange the foam inserts as you please. Ensure that the corrugated bottom is aligned correctly with the base — if not, the foam inserts may move around while you sleep, which can become uncomfortable.
- Put the comfort layer and cover back into place, zip it all up, and relax.
Each side of the mattress can also have its own configuration. 😱
This means that both you and your partner can find a surface feel that’s perfect for you.
As standard, the mattress comes with 3 super soft, 4 medium, and 3 firm foam inserts that can be interchanged across both sides of the bed. 👌
The exact number of inserts will depend on the size of the mattress.
Tweak mattress cover
The Tweak mattress comes with a very soft viscoelastic-polyester blend cover.
It's a breathable cover that helps regulate temperature and keep you cool and comfortable all night long.
It's also fire resistant. 🔥
Conveniently, the cover also has two side handles, which makes moving the mattress around much easier.
Machine-washable cover
The Tweak mattress cover has a zip, so you can easily remove it.
It's also machine-washable at 30℃. 🛀
This is great for hygienic reasons and makes the mattress suitable for people prone to allergies.
Buy a mattress protector
Despite having a machine-washable cover, we'd always recommend you get a mattress protector.
Mattress protectors extend the lifespan of your mattress and protect it from dirt, stains, spills, and bacteria.
