The Brook + Wilde Lux mattress is a 26 cm (10.2 inches) hybrid mattress comprising five layers, including the top cover.
These five layers are:

The Brook + Wilde Sleep Lux mattress is available in a medium-firm feel, which the brand describes as the "perfect balance of support and sink".
We’d place it at a 6 out of 10 on the Sleep Hero firmness scale, where 1 is the softest and 10 is the firmest.
But do you need a medium-firm mattress?
Well, that’ll depend on both your personal preferences as well as your build and preferred sleeping position.
As a general guideline:
- Lighter-weight people and side sleepers will do better on softer mattresses.
- Average-weight people, combination sleepers, and most back sleepers will do better on medium-firm mattresses.
- Heavier-weight back sleepers and stomach sleepers will do better on firmer mattresses.
This is because lighter-weight people and side sleepers need to sink into a mattress sufficiently to allow for optimal spinal alignment.
In contrast, heavier-weight people and back and front sleepers require a more supportive mattress for optimal spinal alignment.

This is a very comfortable mattress!

Where does the comfort feel come from?
The soft feel of the mattress is because of the top layer of memory foam, which will give you a little more sinkage than other types of foam.
It’s also the reason this is such a great mattress to help with back pain.

Does the Brook + Wilde mattress sleep hot?
Hot sleepers tend to shy away from memory foam mattresses.

How do I clean my Lux mattress cover?
Unfortunately, the Lux mattress cover is not removable and cannot be washed.
If you stain your mattress, you’d have to spot-clean it with a damp cloth. 🧽
We’d recommend investing in a good waterproof mattress protector to safeguard your mattress against stains, spills, dirt, bacteria, and moisture.
